Our “WOW Factor” Buyer’s Guide

People are always asking us about Keto Peanut Butter, but we don't have time to answer all of their questions.

We know you're busy and you want the answers to your questions about Keto Peanut Butter without having to search for them.

Keto Peanut Butter is a great way to fuel your body on a ketogenic diet. It's made with only the highest quality ingredients and it tastes delicious.

Here are the most frequently asked questions about Keto Peanut Butter and our answers to them.

Can I eat peanut butter on a keto diet?

You most certainly can!

In fact, peanut butter is a great source of healthy fats and protein, both of which are essential to a keto diet. Peanut butter is also low in carbs, making it a perfect snack for those following a keto diet.

Just be sure to choose a brand that is sugar-free and safe for consumption on keto which means mostly a very low carb count per serving.

Which peanut butter has the fewest carbs?

There are a variety of peanut butters on the market, and the carb content can vary quite a bit. The best way to choose a peanut butter with fewer carbs is to read the label carefully and compare different brands.

For example, some brands of peanut butter have around 2 grams of carbs per serving, while others have up to 7 grams. So, if you're looking for a low-carb option, make sure to choose a brand with fewer grams of carbs per serving.

Additionally, some peanut butters are made with sugar or honey, which will add more carbs. So, if you're watching your carb intake, opt for an unsweetened variety.

Finally, remember that even though most types of peanut butter are relatively low in carbs, they're still high in calories. So, if you're trying to lose weight, be sure to eat peanut butter in moderation.

Is Skippy peanut butter keto?

When it comes to following a keto diet, there are a few things you need to take into account in order to be successful.

First and foremost, you need to make sure that you're getting enough fat in your diet. This means that peanut butter can definitely be a part of your keto journey, as long as it fits into your macros.

With that said, not all peanut butters are created equal. Some brands tend to add more sugar and other additives that can take away from the health benefits of this high-fat food.

When shopping for keto-friendly peanut butter, look for brands that have minimal ingredients and no added sugar. Skippy is one such brand - their natural peanut butter contains just two ingredients: peanuts and salt. So, if you're looking for keto-friendly peanut butter, Skippy is a great option.

What is a macro in keto?

A macro is a nutrient that the body needs in larger amounts, and they are typically found in foods. The three macros are carbohydrates, protein, and fat. In keto, people aim to get most of their calories from fat, moderate amounts from protein, and very few from carbohydrates.

This ratio varies based on each person's individual goals and needs. For example, someone who is very active may need more protein than someone who is sedentary.

The term "macro" is short for macronutrients. Macronutrients are nutrients that the body needs in large amounts to function properly. They include carbohydrates, protein, and fat (although carbohydrates are NOT essential).

Which peanut butter is best for weight loss?

All natural, no sugar added peanut butters are best for weight loss. Peanut butters that are high in sugar will cause your blood sugar to spike, which will then cause your body to release insulin.

Insulin is a hormone that signals the body to store energy as fat, so by avoiding peanut butters with added sugar, you can help prevent weight gain.

Is sugar-free peanut butter keto?

Sugar-free peanut butter is often marketed as a healthy alternative to regular peanut butter, but is it really keto-friendly? Let's take a look at the nutritional facts to find out.

A typical serving size of sugar-free peanut butter (2 tablespoons) contains the following:

Calories: 190

Fat: 16 grams

Protein: 8 grams

Carbohydrates: 6 grams

Fiber: 3 grams

Sugar Alcohols: 4 grams

As you can see, sugar-free peanut butter is higher in fat and fiber and lower in carbs than regular peanut butter. It also contains sugar alcohols, which can have a laxative effect on some people if consumed in large quantities.

Overall, sugar-free peanut butter is a keto-friendly option, but it's important to moderate your intake due to the sugar alcohols it contains. In addition, a truly keto peanut butter (not just keto friendly) will have a lower carb amount and so it is preferred.

What butter is best for keto?

Grass-fed butter is best for keto because it has a high-fat content and a low carbohydrate content. It also has a high smoke point, which means that it doesn't burn as easily as other butters.

Why am I not losing weight on a keto diet?

There are several potential reasons why you might not be losing weight on a keto diet. Here are a few possibilities to consider:

1) You're not eating enough fat. One of the key tenets of the keto diet is replacing carbs with fat. So, if you're not eating enough fat, you won't be in ketosis and won't lose weight. Make sure you're including plenty of healthy fats in your diets, such as olive oil, avocados, nuts, and seeds.

2) You're not cutting out all carbs. It's important to remember that even though you're reducing your carb intake on a keto diet, you still need to eat some carbs - otherwise known as "net carbs." Net carbs are the total amount of carbohydrates in a food minus the amount of fiber.

How many carbs will break ketosis?

There is no definitive answer to this question because it really depends on the individual and their unique metabolic profile. However, as a general rule of thumb, most people will back-break ketosis if they consume more than 50 grams of carbs per day.

Of course, there are always exceptions to this rule and some people may be able to get away with consuming more carbs before breaking their ketogenic state. So, if you're wondering how many carbs you can eat before breaking ketosis, it's best to err on the side of caution and stick to 50 grams or less per day.

What is lazy keto?

Lazy keto is a subtype of the keto diet that requires less effort and planning than the standard keto diet. The main difference between lazy keto and other types of keto is that lazy keto does not require tracking macros or calories.

This makes lazy keto an attractive option for people who want to follow a low-carb diet but do not have the time or desire to track their food intake.

Lazy keto is thought to be less effective than other types of keto diets, as calories and macros (the balance/ratio between carbs, protein, and fat) play an important role in achieving nutritional Ketosis.

How can I speed up weight loss on keto?

There are a few things you can do to speed up weight loss on keto.

First, make sure you're eating enough protein and fat. Protein provides satiety and helps maintain muscle mass, while healthy fats promote weight loss.

Second, be sure to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and avoid sugary drinks.

Third, try to limit your carbohydrate intake to 20-30 grams per day.

Finally, exercise regularly. Aerobic exercise is especially beneficial for weight loss on keto.

How do I know I’m in ketosis?

The best way to know if you're in ketosis is to monitor your ketone levels. You can do this by using a blood ketone meter, or a more accurate and expensive method is to use a breathalyzer.

There are also some signs and symptoms that you may experience if you're in ketosis, such as increased energy levels, improved mental clarity, and decreased appetite.

However, it's important to keep in mind that these symptoms can also be caused by other things, so they're not necessarily indicative of ketosis.

Our Best Advice

Looking for the best quality Keto Peanut Butter? We’ve spent dozens of hours reading thousands of reviews on Amazon from verified customers to find the perfect Keto Peanut Butter for your needs.  There are a few things to consider.

First of all, I have to confess that peanut butter is one of my all-time favorite foods. And not just peanut butter, peanuts as well.  I could eat them all day and all night without stopping.  It's true.  I have the kilos to prove it (and I'm diabetic type 2 to boot).  So, yes, peanut butter is a basic staple of life but we have to be wise about what kind of peanut butter we consume.  And there are some incredible keto options.

Second, whether you just like nut butter, almond butter or actual peanut butter doesn't matter.  The same principles apply to all of them.  I love creamy peanut butter as well as chunky peanut butter.  I love organic peanut butter and all-natural peanut butter.

I loved the traditional peanut butter the most and liked all of the commercial peanut butter brands.  But then I learned about hydrogenated oils and the ketogenic diet and I realized that eating peanut butter may be my undoing.  Even the organic, and naked organic peanut butter had net carbs that were too high.

Admittedly, part of the problem was not only that I love peanut butter but that I consumed too much of it.  Even healthy peanut butter is not good in large quantities.  I liked other nut butters as well and started to eat almond butter as a satisfying snack but that didn't work either.

I got into the whole foods trend and bought natural peanuts and made sure that things were gluten-free with no artificial flavors but that had very limited results in terms of my weight loss goals and managing my diabetes.

It wasn't only peanuts, you understand.  It was a lifestyle.  It wasn't just peanuts but also junk food and unhealthy carbs and the lack of exercise and proper supplementation.  It wasn't just the peanut butter cups and the dry roasted organic peanuts but about the sugar cravings.  It's the need to satisfy sugar cravings that make peanut butter (with added sugars and vegetable oils) so hard to resist.  And the taste, of course.

That was the crux of the matter for me.  I just wasn't sure whether I could do a healthy keto diet and eat fewer calories.  My trader joe's peanut butter would stare at me from the cupboard with its added sugars and trans fat and yell louder than my low-carb food.

I tried macadamia nuts which are keto friendly and that helped a bit but peanut butter fits in better with my tastes and the creamy texture was to die for (hydrogenated oil and all).

I could eat peanut butter cookies by the bag full (and even peanut butter balls) and use all-natural peanut butter with less hydrogenated oils and try to fool myself into thinking it was low carb.  But nothing doing.

Normal nut butters were not going to do the job.  Not almond butter.  Not creamy peanut butter.  None of the normal peanut butter brands could help.  I had to go keto, taste be damned!

And so I did.  Making peanut butter keto-friendly was no easy job.  Keto peanut butter brands are not that well known yet.  A good low-carb peanut butter was not so easy to find.  Finding a creamy peanut butter that was also low in net carbs was going to be a challenge.

But I was committed to a healthy keto diet out of necessity and I gave no thought to taste at all.  It was all about coconut oil, vitamin e, a lower net carb count, moderate protein, and a keto-friendly alternative.  It was no longer about the taste but about healthy eating.

I had my macadamia nut snack but I was looking for a nut butter perfect keto snack that seemed elusive.  A good protein spread for a high-fat diet from a tree nut was the goal.  If it tasted like peanut butter cookies or creamy peanut butter, all the better.

Any nut butter would be great (especially almond butter but the low-carb peanut butter that I liked was nowhere to be found.  Peanut butter brands simply couldn't put it together with the right ingredients to combine health and taste.

I ate the low-carb peanut butter anyway but kept looking for new peanut butter brands.  I found an almond butter product that tasted a bit like normal creamy peanut butter but the taste just wasn't right.  A good nut butter wasn't going to cut it.  Almond butter wasn't the same.  My life was in the dumps, until...

Our #1 WOW Choice (and why)

The Best Keto Peanut Butter for YOU

Our No. #1 WOW Choice for the best quality keto peanut butter is WONDERSPREAD Gourmet Peanut Butter as the best tasting spread.

Frankly, other people might have picked PB&ME, and for good reason.  But I am a hold-out for a true peanut butter experience which means not a powder but a spread.  And when it comes to a true peanut butter spread, nothing tastes better than Wonderspread.

Now one thing you might wonder about is why they talk more about calories than carbs.  We know that carbs are the issue when it comes to the keto diet, and it is.  But calories also play a role.

Some people claim that the keto diet ignores calories and there is some truth to that but it is always best to err on the side of caution and pay attention to both carbs and calories.

Wonderspread takes that approach and tells you upfront what the carbs and calories are so that you don't eat too much peanut butter and affect your weight loss goals.

Palm oil is also an issue these days and Wonderspread is on top of it.  No palm oil additives in their recipe and only 1 g of net carbs per serving.  A great combination. We hope you agree.
